These cables run vertically on each side of the garage door, with each cable connecting to the drum at the top and to the door at the bottom. The cables are responsible for transferring the force from the springs making the heavy door easier to lift.
Track and rollers
These two components work hand in hand to make the door run in the right direction. The rollers are very tiny wheels located at each end of the door, and they fit well into the track. Retainers come from different materials, plastic, aluminum, or metal. They hold the bottom seal intact as they run along the bottom of the door.
